College of Physiotherapy, Sri Ramakrishna Institute of Paramedical Sciences. Since its inception, the college focused on finding most talented and devoted students interested to become professional physiotherapist and service-minded towards society. The college entrance procedure here remains highly meritorious.

There are seven courses the college offers. These include one undergraduate program that is Bachelor of Physiotherapy - BPT and six postgraduate programs named Master of Physiotherapy - MPT in specializations as follows: Orthopedic, Neurology, Cardio Respiratory, Obstetrics and Gynecology, Pediatrics, and Sports Physiotherapy. Maximum intake in BPT is 50 and it varies for maximum intake in every MPT programme with respect to the specializations offered ranging between 2 and 5 seats in different MPT programmes.

Candidates who have acquired a 10+2 degree with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology as their major subjects can apply for BPT courses. For MPT courses, candidates must have the BPT degree from an affiliated college. College can conduct its entrance test or it may take scores from entrance tests conducted in relevant states or countries for admission into physiotherapy courses.

Application Process

Application Procedure of College of Physiotherapy, Sri Ramakrishna Institute of Paramedical Sciences, Coimbatore: It is divided into the following steps.

1. Open the official college website to get the application form for the program in which admission is sought: BPT or MPT.

2. Carefully fill the application form and submit all personal and academic details required.

3. Pay the application fee as determined by the college. The amount and payment procedures will be stated on the application form or the college website.

4. Submit the filled-up application form with all the documents required. These are usually:

• Passport size photographs
• Mark sheets of qualifying examinations (10th, 12th for BPT; BPT degree certificate for MPT)
• Transfer Certificate
• Conduct Certificate
• Community Certificate (if applicable)
• Entrance exam score card (if applicable)

5. The shortlisted candidates may be called for an entrance examination and/or interview, based on the program and the college's admission policy for that particular academic year.

7. The selected candidates will be intimated through the college website or through email/phone. They will have to complete the admission formalities within the stipulated time by submitting documents and paying fees to confirm their seat.

Degree wise Admission Process

BPT (Bachelor of Physiotherapy): This is an undergraduate program with a duration of 4.5 years including 6 months of compulsory rotatory internship. Admission to the BPT programme is strictly based on merit acquired in the qualifying examination, that is, 10+2 and/or entrance test. This program has a total of 50 seats. So, competition is tough here.

MPT (Master of Physiotherapy): The college has six specialized MPT programs each of which lasts for two years. These include:

4. MPT Obstetrics and Gynecology
5. MPT Pediatrics
6. MPT Sports Physiotherapy

Admission to these postgraduate programs is based on the candidate's performance in their BPT degree and may include an entrance examination and/or interview process. Each specialization has a limited number of seats (2-5), ensuring personalized attention and high-quality education.
