Eligibility Criteria: Applicants seeking admission into PGIVER's postgraduate programs must be graduates in B.V.Sc. from a recognized university with an equivalent qualification. For Ph.D. courses, usually, an applicant should hold a Master's degree in a relevant veterinary science discipline. Application Process

Degree wise Admission Process

M.V.Sc Master of Veterinary Science: The five specializations under PGIVER are Veterinary Microbiology, Livestock Production and Management, Veterinary Gynecology and Obstetrics, Veterinary Clinical Medicine and Jurisprudence, and Animal Biotechnology. The process which might be used for admission into these programs must be academic merit, entrance exams, or even interviews. Each of the specialization has an admission capacity as follows: Veterinary Microbiology, 2; Livestock Production and Management, 2; Veterinary Gynecology and Obstetrics, 3; Veterinary Clinical Medicine and Jurisprudence, 3; and Animal Biotechnology, 3.

Ph.D (Doctor of Philosophy): The institute offers a Ph.D program in Livestock Production and Management. Probably, the intake to this doctoral program depends on the academic performance at the Master's level, research proposal, and interview process. No specific number is assigned for the entrance of students in the Ph.D program; thus, the intake can be considered flexible depending on research opportunities and supervisors available.
