About National Skill Development Corporation
National Skill Development Corporation is a non-profit public organization that was established on July 31 under section 25 of the Companies Act, 1956 by the Ministry of Finance as Public-Private Partnership (PPP) model. National Skill Development Corporation funds all the enterprises, companies and organizations which offer skill development programmes to people. NSDC also supports and enhances the private sector organizations by developing appropriate Public-Private Partnership (PPP) models for them. NSDC also has implemented various schemes and initiatives under its authority including Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana (PMKVY), Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Kendra (PMKK), India International Skill Centre (IISC) Network, Technical Intern Training Program (TITP), Skill Impact Bond, Seekho aur Kamao, and SWADES. The Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana (PMKVY) was introduced with the aim of enabling a large number of Indian youth to take skill development programmes. The Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Kendra was established with the objective of introducing Model Training Centres ( MTCs ) in every district of the country. The India International Skill Centre (IISC) Network aims to provide a platform to enhance the international workforce for Indians. The Technical Intern Training Program (TITP) offers on-the-job training (OJT) in Japan to people.
