SEE IITS and nits does not allow lateral entry admission in b.tech courses for diploma candidates, students who have passed 12th course in 2019 or appearing in 2020 are only eligible for jee advance 2020. however state government engineering colleges and some private colleges has option for admission in btech course as lateral entry. you need to appear in lateral entry entrance test for admission.

It depends on the institute you have done your engineering. The average salary ranges mostly around 40,000 to 50,000 in the start. But with experience you get a hike in your salary. Also if you have done your engineering from some good college like IITs then you certainly have higher salary.
