    Hello,

    Both architecture and designing offer good careers, but the choice depends on your interests:

    • Architecture – Best if you enjoy planning buildings, technical drawing, and construction design. It offers long-term stability and good pay but needs a 5-year degree (BArch) and licensing.

    • Designing – Ideal if you’re creative and prefer fashion, interior, graphic, or UI/UX design. It offers faster career entry and more flexibility.

    If you want a technical and structured career, go for architecture.
    If you prefer creativity and innovation, choose designing.

    With a GMR 41869 and OBC-B rank 3689, admission to Architecture at Jadavpur University is quite difficult. JU cutoffs for B.Arch are usually very high, often closing within a few thousand ranks overall, and most seats go to top rankers. As for fees, JU is a government university, so it’s very affordable—around 2,500–5,000 per year, much cheaper than private colleges. You may get Architecture in some private or state colleges, but chances at JU with your rank are very low.

    Here's the information about Architecture course:
    - Eligibility criteria: Qualification completed 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics as compulsory subjects with minimum 50% marks. Age limit is minimum 17 and upper age limit is generally not fixed, that varies by college.

    - Entrance Exam: NATA & JEE Mains are both main national level entrance exam that are expected by most of colleges for admission. There are some State exam like MHT-CET, UPSEE and many more that are also accepted by colleges.

    - Fee Structure: for government colleges its between 1,00,000 to 2,50,000 per year & for private colleges it's between 3,00,000 to 10,00,000. Fees can also vary based on college, state, facilities, and even quota
