There are so many colleges which are giving the opportunity to study designing or architecture. Some examples of those Universities are, Tokyo University, Keio University, Waseda University, Tokyo Institute of Technology, Yokohama Graduate School of Architecture etc. For admission in those colleges you have to qualify some examinations, those are,

• Examination for Japanese University Admission for International Students. (This exam is conducted two times in a year, June and November. apart from ?Japan, this exam is conducted in 17 cities outside Japan.)
• English Examination using TOEFL or others.
• Minimum score for TOEFL-PBT

Physics includes Electrostatics,Wave Optics ,Optical activity and Modern Optics ,Properties of Matter and Relativistic Mechanics ,Quantum Physics

Chemistry includes Solid state chemistry: Radius ratio rule, Space lattice (only cubes), Type of unit cell, Bragg’s Law, Calculation of density of unit cell. One and Two Dimensional solids, Graphite as two dimensional solid and its conducting properties. Fullerene and its applications ,E-Z Nomenclature. Optical isomerism of organic compounds containing one chiral center. Examples of Optically active compounds without chirality. Conformations of n-butane. etc.

Maths includes Matrices ,Differential Calculus-I ,: Differential Calculus-II ,: Multiple Integrals ,Vector Calculus

P.S.,This is just basic syllabus and is being followed by most of the college and could slightly  differ from college to college.

Dear student,

You cannot take admission in Thakur school of architecture and planning in class 11th. You need to pass 12th standard to he eligible for admissions. The eligibility of Thakur school of architecture and planning states that:

• Candidate must have secured at least 50% aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics of 10+2 as well as 50% marks in aggregate of the 10+2 level examination.

Or

• Candidate must have passed 10+3 diploma examination with Mathematics as compulsory subject with at least 50% marks in aggregate.
• The Candidate should have obtained qualifying marks in NATA or obtained Non Zero Positive Score in JEE (Main) Paper II.

see civil engineering and architecture is two different course. In civil engineering architectural structures , designs, product management and structural engineering included. where in architecture course mostly computer and in hand design techniques involved. so if you have completed diploma in civil engineering you are eligible to join btech civil engineering course from second year. you have to appear in state wise lateral entry entrance test or need to apply for particular institute.

however bachelor of architecture is five years duration course, however to join as lateral students you have to complete diploma course in architecture.
