Can PCMB student ,can write only pcb in kcet 2021 ?

Akanksha 4th Aug, 2021
Hello Aspirant

Yes. A PCMB student can obviously choose PCB as an option to write KCET. As you have mentioned that you are a PCMB student, you have an added advantage of giving Mathematics paper also in KCET.

With your PCM marks and rank you are eligible for various Engineering colleges in Karnataka.
With your PCB marks and rank you are eligible for various medical programmes in Karnataka such as Ayurvedic science, Veterinary science and Agricultural science courses.

If you want to go for Medical degree like MBBS then you will have to compulsorily appear for NEET 2021 as NEET has been made a compulsory exam to get admission into MBBS degree all over India.

Hope this helps

sir I got 107 marks out of 240 marks in kcet 2021 , can I get free govt BSc agriculture seat in Karnataka ? please tell me sir

gurukiranmoger 13th Sep, 2021

Hello Praveen,

Exact rank cannot be precisely predicted. Your KCET score is 107 marks so your expected rank will be in range of 6k-7 k. Although it is expected rank, actual rank may differ from it.

If you want to get in BSc Agriculture then your marks for Physics, Chemistry and Biology are considered. So if you want to get into top colleges then you should have a rank below 2000. In order to get this rank, you should score more than 120 marks out of 180 in KCET if you want to get a BSc Agriculture seat in first round itself.
So as per your rank you may get top college in first round with some good category reservations. If not wait for another round you will definitely get good college.

The allocation of seats depends on cutoff and it depends on various factors like

  • The difficulty level of the exam
  • Marking scheme
  • Number of candidates appeared
  • Number of available seats
  • Seat reservation of various categories
  • Previous year cutoff ranks/marks

Hello Aspirant,

As per the marks mentioned by you in the question your rank in KCET 2021 is expected to be in the range of 31000-45000 .  But note that this is not your exact rank because it is not yet released and the rank predicted above is on the basis of previous year's data.
