Dear Sir/Maam, I have scored 52.5% in HS from WBBHSE Board in 2010, after that I was in B.sc Gen but not cleared all supplies in University of Calcutta, right now I am working from 2015. Due to my family responsibility, I cant quit job. But, right now I want to become an civil/chemical engineer
hi,
see first of all I should recommend you to if possible clear your bsc courses supply, because if you passed 3 years bsc course you may join btech program from second year and thus your 1 years will be saved, now there is many institute which offers part time btech/diploma in civil engineering course ,but there is no guaranty of placement, and to tell the most of the companies do not allow part time btech degree holder or diploma course holders, engineering course is not only depends on studies also you need to know about the practical knowledge , where in part time or distance course less of practical work.
so if you are thinking about to get a decent job after completing engineering, it may not happen if you go for studies in part time, another thing is since your hs marks is less then 60% and you would have many of the gap of years, this makes you not eligible for many of the mncs.
so right now think , whether you should go for engineering or some of the other course.
Eligibility criteria for bsc in geography from university of calcutta.
Arzoo, according to https://www.caluniv.ac.in/news/new_csr_ba_bsc_bcom_bmus.pdf , for studying B.Sc in Geography, you should have completed your 12th with English as one of your subjects and total marks for the English exam should have been 100. So in other words, you could have scored anything in English but the total marks should be for 100. You should have secured atleast 45% in your 12th. And you should have studied Geography, Physics and Chemistry as your subjects in your 12th.
