I am planning to reappear for my 12th board exams in 2026 because I scored only 70 percent in 2025 in the PCMC stream. I intend to take a drop year and prepare for the JEE in 2026, for which I need a minimum of 75 percent. Can I reappear as a private candidate for my second chance, or should I withdraw my result and appear again? If yes, how can I do that? If not, what options do I have?

Aahana Rawat 31st Oct, 2025

Hi,

You can reappear for 12th board exams in 2026, as 75% marks is needed for the general category in boards to sit for JEE mains and advance. You don't need to withdraw your previous result, you can simply apply as a private or improvement candidate through your board. When you will reappear for the exam, you can increase your score and then the latest mark sheet will be eligible for the JEE.

If you are from the state board, then visit your board's regional office or website for the improvement exam.

For CBSE, you can fill out the improvement exam form online from the official website of CBSE. You can enroll as a private student with NIOS.

Hope it helps!!!

sir where should i apply for central EWS as iam living in Nizamabad district Telangana as iam already having BCE certificate so i want EWS for central quota jee mains tell me full procedure

Rahul Mandal 28th Oct, 2025

Hello,

To get a Central Economically Weaker Section (EWS) certificate for JEE Mains, you must apply to the Tehsildar or Sub-Divisional Officer (SDO) in Nizamabad through the Telangana MeeSeva Portal.  A Central EWS certificate, not a state one, is required for JEE Mains. You are ineligible for EWS if you already hold a Backward Class (BCE) certificate, as EWS is for general category candidates who are not covered under other reservations.

I hope it will clear your query!!

How do I start and what books do I read to clear clat in 2027 im in 11 now and choose pcm and preparing for jee but intested in clat waht books do i read without any coaching

Prachi Kumari 31st Oct, 2025

Hello,

Since you are in class 11 and targeting CLAT 2027, you have enough time to prepare without coaching. First, understand the CLAT pattern – it has English, Current Affairs, Legal Reasoning, Logical Reasoning, and Quantitative Techniques. Start with basics and read daily to improve vocabulary and comprehension.

Best books to start:

  • Word Power Made Easy – Norman Lewis

  • High School English Grammar & Composition – Wren & Martin

  • Legal Aptitude for CLAT – A.P. Bhardwaj

  • A Modern Approach to Logical Reasoning – R.S. Aggarwal

  • Quantitative Aptitude – R.S. Aggarwal

  • Manorama Yearbook or Lucent’s GK for current affairs

Read newspapers like The Hindu daily, practice mock tests regularly, and revise current affairs every month. With consistent practice and reading, you can easily prepare for CLAT 2027 along with JEE.

Hope it helps !

Jee advanced me qualify ke liye jee main me kitna %chahiye

Aahana Rawat 27th Oct, 2025

Hi,

JEE Advanced me qualify karne ke liye JEE Main me kisi fixed percentage ki requirement nahi hoti. Percentile aur rank ke basis par cutoff decide hoti hai.  JEE Advanced ke liye eligible hone ke liye aapko JEE Main ke Top 2,50,000 rank holders ke andar aane chahiye, sab category mila kar.

Har saal cutoff percentile thoda alag hota hai, par approximate range general (UR) ke liye hoti hai 90–92 percentile tak, EWS ke liye 78–80 percentile tak, OBC-NCL ke liye 73-75 percentile tak, SC ke liye 55-60 percentile tak aur ST ke liye 45-50 percentile tak.

Iska matlab hai ki agar aap SC category se hai, to lagbhag 55 se 60 percentile JEE Main me lana par aap JEE Advanced ke liye qualify kar sakte hai.

Hope it helps!!!

I need diploma in MECHANICAL engineering

Palak Gahlot 26th Oct, 2025

Hello,

If you’re looking for a diploma in Mechanical Engineering, you can pursue it after 10th or 12th depending on the institute. The program typically lasts 3 years after 10th (or 2 years lateral entry after 12th with science subjects) and focuses on subjects like thermodynamics, mechanics, manufacturing processes, CAD, and workshop practice.

Most government and private polytechnic institutes offer this diploma. After completion, you can either start working as a mechanical technician, supervisor, or junior engineer or continue studies through lateral entry into B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering for advanced learning.

A diploma in Mechanical Engineering provides practical skills, technical knowledge, and career flexibility in manufacturing, automotive, and industrial sectors.

I hope you find this helpful!!!

Thank you
