I got 50% above in English and 50% above in pcb individually but I git 57% in pcb aggregate if I get above the cutoff marks in neet will I get selected for afmc screening process?
Hello Soham,
Yes, you are eligible for the Armed Forces Medical College (AFMC) screening process if you score above the NEET cutoff marks, provided you meet their minimum academic requirements.
AFMC requires:
- 50% or above in English in Class 12th.
- 50% or above in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology individually .
- 60% or above aggregate in PCB .
Since your PCB aggregate is
57%
, it does not meet the
60% PCB aggregate criteria
required for AFMC. Even if you clear the NEET cutoff, you would not qualify for the AFMC screening process based on this criterion.
I hope this answer helps you. If you have more queries then feel free to share your questions with us we will be happy to assist you.
Thank you and wishing you all the best for your bright future.
To be eligible for MBBS at AFMC Pune, you need at least 60% aggregate in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology (PCB), along with a minimum of 50% in each subject individually and in English.
Since your PCB aggregate is 57%, it does not meet the 60% requirement, even though your individual scores are above 50%. This means you wouldn’t qualify for the AFMC screening process, even if you clear the NEET cutoff.
For clarity, check the official AFMC guidelines or contact their admissions office.
To be eligible for the Armed Forces Medical College (AFMC) MBBS program, candidates must meet specific academic criteria:
- Aggregate in Science Subjects (PCB) - 60%
- At least 50% marks in each of Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English.
While you meet the individual subject requirements, your PCB aggregate of 57% falls short of the required 60%. Therefore, even if you score above the cutoff marks in NEET, you would not meet the eligibility criteria for AFMC's screening process.
