College infrastructure is not upto the mark as it should be in Btech Colleges. The Buildings are once made and never looked back.Only Good thing is Library .BIT Patna offers modern infrastructure with well-equipped labs, smart classrooms, a central library, Wi-Fi campus, hostels, and sports facilities, providing a good learning environment. Academic at BIT patna Is average.faculty department Rather than CSE are Arrogant.Academics at BIT Patna are strong with a structured curriculum, experienced faculty, regular classes, and emphasis on practical learning through labs, projects, and workshops
Average placement Every year with Average being around 6-7LPA .Hightes CTC goes upto 34LPA and lowest 3LPA.BIT Patna offers decent placements, especially in CSE and IT, with companies like TCS, Infosys, and Wipro visiting. Average package is around 4–6 LPA with good internship opportunities
Not Value for money,Main Campus is far better than this one.BIT Patna offers good value for money with quality education, decent placements, and low fees compared to private colleges, making it a worthwhile choice for engineering students.
No Campus life, only 25 Acre campus with one ground Having everything there like cricket pitch, Badminton court, volleyball court and football Ground. It create mess.Campus life at BIT Patna is active with tech fests, cultural events, student clubs, sports, and hostel life. The environment is disciplined yet engaging, promoting all-round development
Birla institute of technology , mesra , boasts one of the most spacious and beautiful campuses in India , spread over 780 acres of greenry. The college infrastructure is well developed and caters to both academic and extra curricular activities. Classrooms are clean, well equiped and are aided with good modern facilities like projectors and smart boards. The library is massive and house thousands of books and digital resources from students of all streams. The institute has also great sports infrastructure that includes cricket, football and almost all indoor games including badminton , table tennis ,etc. The environment is peaceful and inspiring helping students to focus on their academics as well as personal growth. Hostel food and occasional maintanance is the only negative part that is dominant. Overall, BIT Mesra offers an ideal setting for a balanced college life with everything a student may need, right within the campus.
I am currently pursuing Btech in CSE branch. BIT offers this branch with a strong curriculum and a strong experienced faculty. The quality of teaching is quite good and many professors have Phd from reputed institutes. They explain concepts clearly and also encourage to think beyond textbooks. A mix of practical and theoretical helps students to understand it better. The curriculum is mostly up to date and aligned with the current industry trends. Apart from classes , the college also promotes coding competitions , workshops and research activities. However there is still some scope of improvement in terms of making some subjects more hand on. Overall the academic environment is rigorous yet rewarding. If you are genuinely interested in learning and growing , Bit mesra provides right environment for this.
The placement scenario at BIT mesra is quite good especially for branches like cse, aiml and other computer related branches . In recent years about 85-90% students got placed in reputed companies. Core branches like mechanical and civil has low placements but opportunities still prevails through off campus demands and PSUs. Top companies like microsoft , adobe , wipro , adobe , etc , often visiit the campus. The average package for cse is about 10-12 lpa and other core branches is about 6-7lpa. The college has a strong training and placement cell that helps students with resume building , mock interviews and soft skill trainings. A massive package of 1.45 cr was offered to a cse student from Rubrick company (off campus). While there is a scope to improve placements in non tech branches , overall the college provides a solid growth for career growth.
The infrastructure here is quite impressive. The classrooms are well-equipped, and while the labs have the basic tools you need. You'll find air-conditioned classrooms. The hostels are generally considered spacious and well-maintained, with daily cleaning, and each has its own dining hall. They also have night canteens, which is convenient. The college has a good library, fast Wi-Fi all over the campus, a medical center, and sports facilities. However, a few folks have suggested the cafeteria could use a facelift and that some washrooms might need better hygiene.
When it comes to academics, the teachers are generally very supportive, friendly, and really know their stuff, with many holding advanced degrees. They're good at explaining difficult topics. . BIT Mesra is a government-funded institution and it consistently ranks well among top engineering colleges in India. They also encourage students to get involved in research projects with their professors.
For placements, BIT Mesra usually has a decent track record, with many companies coming to recruit. For MBA have also seen good, though generally lower, average packages. While many students get placed, especially in Computer Science and IT, the placement rates can vary for other branches, with some having lower percentages. You'll find well-known companies like Wipro, TCS, Deloitte, and Infosys recruiting from the campus.
Regarding value for money, this can be a bit of a mixed feeling. The fees for a MBA program can be quite substantial, around 10 Lakhs for 3 years, including hostel costs. Some students feel it's worth it because of the college's reputation and the quality of teaching. However, others, especially if they are in a branch with lower placement figures or feel that the facilities don't quite match the high fees, might question the value. So, it really depends on what you're looking for and the specific program you choose.
Finally, campus life at BIT Mesra is generally considered lively and enjoyable. There are plenty of places to hang out, and students often enjoy the night canteens and cycling around the campus, which feels very safe. The student community is quite competitive, which can push you to do your best. Hostel life is seen as vibrant. Overall, it provides a good atmosphere for both studying and making friends.
No
Classroom are equipped with whiteboard. The labs are adequately maintained. The library has a good collection of books. Our college has well maintained canteen providing quality food. The hostel in our college is decent.
The faculty of college is very supportive and friendly nature with students. The exams are conducted according to you own course which you have chosen. The teacher so we can clear our doubts in the class and after class also they solve our doubts.
The placement are good. I have got placement. Students are eligible for campus placement in their final year. Companies visit every year in our college for the placement calls. There have been significant opportunities for placement.
The infrastructure of the course and hostels are average. Labs are fully functional and provide all the basic equipment but sometimes they do not work. Hostels are the minus point I think as there are no air-conditioners in the room. The mess food is not worth it.
Teachers are average only. I am not going to take any names like they are biased towards some students and doing partiality which is not fair to other students. They are not helpful, and some of them are just coming and going. The course curriculum I think is not good and needs some changes also. They give assignments and quizzes every day, which becomes very hectic for students. The exam difficulty lies between moderate to hard and it looks like they are giving certain questions out of the syllabus to cut marks.
In my opinion, the number of placements is pretty good here, as in my surroundings, many students got placed at very brilliant companies. The highest package is 30 lacs per annum. The average package ranges from 5-6 LPA. Top recruiting companies for my course like Microsoft, Amazon, Wipro, etc., hire students. Roles offered are software engineer, data analyst, HR, etc. The average number of students placed every year is about 50% with the average package to very big packages.
The infrastructure is quite good, like AC classrooms, high-speed internet connection is also available, quite good labs, and good libraries available. Hostels are also good, as there is daily cleaning of the rooms and washrooms. Mess food is also okay, and there are a lot of snack shops as canteens. Medical facility is also available with sports complex ensuring sports facility.
Teachers are quite good and friendly, ensuring proper communication between students and faculty members, some of whom are Ph.D. holders and have good knowledge. Course curriculum is also okay and relevant to the industry level, but not that much like teaching some old technologies till now. College exams are not much tougher, not much easier. Passing percentage is 45%.
Various companies come for sure including mass recruiters. The highest package company that comes from PayPal is 24 LPA to 30 LPA. The lowest package is around 3.5 LPA. The average package is around 4 LPA. Around 60-70% of students got placed. Mostly in less than 10 LPA. Roles offered depend on market needs every year. In 2024 and 2025, data science, AI and ML are most offered roles.
They have a good library with a minimum number of books and it is good for btech CSE and electrical. In the hostel the food quality is average. The hostel has a great vibe. The facilities and amenities are lacking.
The faculty for computer science group is absolutely very good. They explain with a very good example so that every student understand everything. The course curriculum is fully theoretical. The faculty members are highly educated.
The percentage of placement record is it around 50%. Internship opportunities are average so therefore no information on that. All the teachers are familiar to students. I don't know much about the package offered.
The infrastructure of our college is good. The canteen is also available for students which provides very affordable food. The hostel condition are good. The college is also a library with a limited section of books.
They absolutely help students become industry ready. The faculty members are helpful, qualified and knowledgeable. The curriculum is outdated and industry aligned. Exams are mostly theory based with average focus on real world applications.
Placement are average. Students often rely on off campus placement for better offers. The percentage of placement record is around 40%. I have don't Idea about the highest and lowest package. Packages are modest with limited opportunities for other stream.
The infrastructure of the college is good. Spacious classroom for approximately 50 students in 1 classroom. They have a good library with a minimum number of books. There is also a canteen in which students can have food of their own choice.
Course has relevant subjects for skills development and personality development. Teachers is nice and friendly and knowledgeable. The teaching quality is also good. It covers both theoretical concepts and practical applications.
40-50% of students got placed in our college.Internship opportunities are average so therefore no information. I don't know about the highest and the lowest package but is pretty average. Students often rely on off campus placement for better offers.
Outstanding college The campus is well-maintained with decent classrooms, a library, sports facilities, and Wi-Fi. Hostel facilities are average, but improvements in food and hygiene could enhance the experience.
Outstanding college The college offers a wide range of courses with a solid curriculum that is regularly updated to match industry trends. Most faculty members are knowledgeable and supportive, though a few departments could benefit from more experienced professors. The labs and infrastructure for practical learning are fairly well-equipped.
Placements are decent, especially for students in core and IT-related fields. Top recruiters visit the campus, and the placement cell provides good support in terms of training and mock interviews. However, self-effort is key to landing top offers.
The campus is well-maintained with decent classrooms, a library, sports facilities, and Wi-Fi. Hostel facilities are average, but improvements in food and hygiene could enhance the experience.

Yes, BIT Sindri accepts NIOS for Class 12 education when considering B.Tech admissions. However, some placement services or training integration—such as through TCS—may not include NIOS students, so it's best to check that specific detail with the institute directly.
Hello dear, I hope you are doing well.
BIT Sindri (Birsa Institute of Technology, Sindri, Jharkhand) is one of the most reputed engineering institutes in the state and admission is primarily based on JEE Main ranks through JCECEB counselling. While your 12th percentage (61%) is above the minimum eligibility requirement (45% for general category, 40% for reserved categories), the real factor that decides admission is your JEE Main score and All India Rank.
If you have qualified JEE Main and participated in JCECEB counselling, then you stand a chance depending on your rank and the cutoff of various branches. For popular branches like CSE, Mechanical, and Electrical, cutoffs are usually quite high.
