Hello

Yes , if you have a Maharashtra domicile , you can get admission to government and private engineering colleges in Maharashtra through CET counselling based on both:

1. JEE Main Score – Some seats in Maharashtra engineering colleges are reserved for admission through JEE Main ( around 15% for All India Quota).

2. MH-CET Score – The majority of seats (85%) in state colleges are filled through MHT CET for Maharashtra domicile students.

So, you are eligible to apply using both JEE Main and MHT CET scores, depending on the seat quota.

Hello student,

MCTE (Military College of Telecommunication Engineering) Indore offers B.Tech admissions through JEE Main under the Army Institute of Technology (AIT) category for wards of Army personnel.

If you belong to the Army background , you can apply through AIT Pune , which considers JEE Main scores. A 94 percentile in JEE Mains 2025 gives you a good chance. However, MCTE itself does not take direct civilian admissions for B.Tech.

I would recommend you to use JEE Mains College Predictor Tool by Careers360 to get the list of possible colleges you can get with your rank or percentile.

Hello there,

To confirm if you qualify for an engineering seat through JEE Main:

  1. Check Cutoff: Compare your percentile with the JEE Main qualifying cutoff for your category. If you clear it, you are eligible for JEE Advanced (if aiming for IITs).

  2. Check College Cutoffs: Use your rank to check previous year cutoffs for NITs, IIITs, GFTIs, and state colleges through JoSAA/CSAB counseling.

  3. Participate in Counseling: Register for JoSAA or state counseling to apply for engineering seats.

  4. Private Colleges: If your rank doesn’t match NIT/IIIT cutoffs, private colleges also accept JEE scores.

I hope this answer helps you. If you have more queries then feel free to share your questions with us we will be happy to assist you.

Thank you and wishing you all the best for your bright future.

Hello there,

With 98.68 percentile in JEE Mains under the OBC category from Telangana , your expected rank is around 16,000 – 18,000 (OBC rank ~ 4,000 – 5,000).

Chance for NIT Warangal:

  • NIT Warangal (Home State Quota - OBC) :
    • CSE – Difficult
    • ECE, EEE, Mech, Civil – Slight chance in later rounds
    • Metallurgy, Biotechnology – Higher chances

      Other NITs You Can Get
  • High Chance : NIT Nagpur, NIT Jamshedpur, NIT Rourkela, NIT Raipur
  • Good Chance : NIT Patna, NIT Silchar, NIT Durgapur, NIT Srinagar
  • Safe Options : NIT Agartala, NIT Mizoram, NIT Meghalaya

You have a slim chance for NIT Warangal (lower branches) but better chances in other NITs. Try CSAB special rounds for better allotment.

I would recommend you to use JEE Mains College Predictor Tool by Careers360 to get the list of possible colleges you can get with your rank or percentile.

I hope this answer helps you. If you have more queries then feel free to share your questions with us we will be happy to assist you.
