Eligibility criteria
If you’ve completed your 10th standard, you will be eligible for the Dental Assistants training.
You can earn the Dental Assistants certificate after finishing the full curriculum, attendance requirements of 70% and 85% in the lectures, and clinical internship, and finally at least 70% marks in the pre-internship exam.
What you will learn
Upon completing the Dental Assistants certification syllabus, you will become adept in: -
- Assisting dentists during various treatment procedures
- Taking and developing dental radiographs (X-rays)
- Sterilising and taking equipment and instruments
- Providing patients with oral care instructions after surgery or any other dental treatment, such as the placement of a filling
- Teaching patients the correct oral hygiene strategies for oral health maintenance
- Taking impressions of a patient’s teeth for teeth models/study casts
- Communicating with suppliers and patients (answering telephones, scheduling appointments, ordering supplies, billing, etc.)

Filling the form
You must visit your nearest VIVO skill centre to collect the Dental Assistants course admission form, fill it up, and submit it. Once done, you can pay the fee at the centre or online. The latter will require your registration, for which you must provide your full name, phone number, email ID, city of residence, and password.
Evaluation process
To complete the Dental Assistants course, and the clinical internship, you have to clear the pre-internship examination with 70% marks. Failing to do so, you will have to opt for the Remediation exam. Where every time Rs. 1500 will be charged.
