36 MonthsPhD in Pharmaceutical Chemistry is a standard doctoral program in pharmacy. It is offered as Ph. D in Pharmaceutical sciences after the completion of Postgraduate course in Pharmaceutical Chemistry. The course is focused on various aspects of chemistry like organic synthesis, natural products isolation, drug designing using CADD and various aspects of research methodology. On the whole, research work focused on the development of new drug/lead molecules and study of their effect on biological systems that begins with knowledge of bioactive chemicals/molecules at the molecular level. Doctoral graduates can work in chemical and pharmaceutical industries, R & D, research and educational institutions.
Full-time course is for a minimum period of three years and for a part-time course is for a minimum period of five years.
Eligibility Criteria
Candidates with M.Pharm degree awarded by a College/University recognized by AICTE/PCI/RGUHS or a P.G. Degree in Pharmacy considered as equivalent by RGUHS, are eligible for enrollment for the PhD course in Pharmacy.
