It is an information centre that comprises of over 15,370 Text and Reference books, 17 National Journals, 948 bound volumes and 251 theses. It also contains e-resources and a video/CD library assisting in the twenty first century techniques of research. The strategic importance of technology to the conduct of its mandate is well captured by the Computer Centre started under the Agricultural Research Information System (ARIS) network. For the students’ health needs, ACRI provides to students opportunity to use sports facilities and gym, providing access to physical health as well as offering an all-rounded education. The campus also has medical dispensary with full-time medical officer and nurses to attend to the students general health.

This institute offers 8 courses courses in their curriculum for undergraduate as well as post graduate levels. The undergraduate programme is the B.Sc Agriculture (Hons), while the post graduate programmes are M.Sc Agronomy, Economics, Entomology, Extension Education, Genetics and Plant Breeding, Plant Pathology and Soil Science. All these courses are full time and the objective of all these courses is to equip the students with intensive knowledge and practical experience in any chosen area of agriculture.

Application Process

To seek admission to the ACRI programs, follow these steps for application:

1. Log on to the official website of Tamil Nadu Agricultural University (TNAU) to access the online application portal.

2. Create an account and fill in the application form with correct personal and academic details.

3. Upload scanned copies of required documents, which may include:

  • Recent passport-size photograph
  • 10th and 12th mark sheets
  • Bachelor's degree certificate and mark sheets for postgraduate applicants
  • Entrance exam score card (if applicable)
  • Category certificate (SC/ST/OBC) if applied under reservation quota
  • Any other certificate as specified in the application guidelines.

4. One has to make an online application fee through payment gateway. 

5. After that complete application form be submitted and a printed copy is preserved for future usage.

6. For undergraduate admission, the shortlisted candidates would be called for counseling for seat allotment.

7. For postgraduate admission, the shortlisted candidates may be called for interview or additional tests as part of the selection process.

8. The selected candidates will be given an admission offer and will be required to complete the admission formalities, including document verification and fee payment, within the stipulated time frame.
