Akka Mahadevi Mahila Mahavidyalaya, Bidar, founded in 1971 is an affiliated college situated at Bidar district of Karnataka state. The women’s institution has been way forward in providing education to female students with a history of more than five decades. The college occupies a small area of five acres thus ensuring that the environment promotes all forms of growth but particularly academic. Currently, the college has a student enrolment of 917 students and faculty strength of 16, thus the college has a desirable student-teacher ratio in order to achieve quality education.
Akka Mahadevi Mahila Mahavidyalaya has a set of facilities which is intended to facilitate and improve the learning-teaching process as well as the personal development of students. A research library is set as a centre of knowledge to support students learning and scholarly endeavours. It accommodates department specific laboratories for learning by practical and acquisition of practical experiences.
An auditorium caters for events and seminars among many other things helping in the creation of a lively student community. All of these programmes take three years to complete, and once finishing, the graduates are equipped with the knowledge in their fields. The college experience is a time of transition.
College Infrastructure
Better to live there as a human beings.The college boasts a well-maintained infrastructure with modern facilities including well-equipped labs, spacious classrooms, a well-stocked library, and reliable Wi-Fi connectivity throughout the campus, providing a conducive learning environment for students; however, some areas might need further improvement like dedicated sports facilities or updated equipment in certain labs depending on the specific needs of the program.
