Master of Education (M.Ed)in Special Education Hearing Impairment is a two-year full-time postgraduate course approved by the Rehabilitation Council of India(RCI) and offered by the University of Mysore, Mysore


Eligibility Criteria

1)Candidates with a B.S.Ed. (Hearing Impairment) / B.Ed. Spl. Ed. (HI) the degree of the University of Mysore or any B.Ed. (HI) recognized by RCI of any other University considered as equivalent thereto with an average of not less than 50% (45% for SC/ST) of marks in the qualifying examination are eligible. At the time of admission, the student should produce a Degree Certificate as per the University of Mysore guidelines. 

2) Only those candidates who have not completed 35 years of age as of 1st July of the academic year in which admission is sought are eligible for admission. Age relaxation of up to 5 years can be considered for candidates on deputation/in-service with the approval of the University of Mysore.

Admission Details

An entrance examination based on B.S.Ed. (HI) / B.Ed. Spl. Ed. (HI) syllabus will be conducted at AIISH for the selection of candidates. Admission shall be made only based on percentile rank in the entrance examination conducted by the institute for this purpose. The number of questions to be answered shall be 50 in 50 minutes. There will be no negative marking for wrong answers.
