Doctor of Philosophy(Ph.D.) program in Speech and Hearing shall be for a minimum duration of three years, including course work and a maximum of six years. Extension beyond the above limits will be governed by the relevant clauses as stipulated in the Statute/Ordinance of the individual Institution concerned University of Mysore, Mysore.


Eligibility Criteria

Candidates should have passed the M.Sc. (Aud) / M.Sc. (SLP) / M.Sc. (Sp. & Hg.) / MASLP / M.ASLP degree examination of the University of Mysore or any other examination considered equivalent by the University of Mysore with a minimum of 55% (50% in the case of SC/ST/PH) marks. 2. One year of work/research experience after M.Sc. (Aud) / M.Sc. (SLP) / M.Sc. (Sp. & Hg.) / MASLP / M.ASLP. 3. Candidates should have passed the entrance examination for Ph.D.in Speech and Hearing conducted by the University of Mysore.

Admission Details

Candidates have to go through the entrance examination conducted by the University of Mysore. Exemption from entrance examination is as per the University of Mysore regulations. b. Candidates who pass the entrance examination need to appear for an interview before a selection committee is constituted for the Director of the institute. c. The candidates will have to undergo a 16-week course work stipulated by the University of Mysore and pass the examination before they can register for Ph.D.
