B.Sc (Bachelor of Science): The college offers B.Sc degrees in Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Geography, Zoology, Botany, and Computer Science. The whole B.Sc process is merit-based, and the total number of seats available in the general B.Sc program is 110. However, a particular number of seats are reserved for each of the honors programs offered. Candidates must have read Science subjects in 10 + 2 and fulfill the minimum percentage criteria prescribed by the college.
B.Com (Bachelor of Commerce): B.Coms from Barasat College have Accountancy and Marketing as specializations. Admission for B.Com courses is merit-based; there are 305 seats set aside for B.Com in Accountancy Honours and 220 for general B.Com. Students with Commerce or allied subjects in their 10+2 level of education would be eligible. The selection is primarily based on the marks earned in the qualifying examination, although preference will be given to applicants with higher scores in Commerce subjects.
The college has the necessary infrastructure needed for the students to enjoy their time being in college, the library and laboratory had all the necessary books and items to use. They books and items were well maintained.
It's a government college u can't expect much but atleast proper hygiene nd equipments ... My suggestion don't expect much from the college and even if you complain no one is going to take any action.
Barasat college have all the necessary infrastructures well furnished, good facilities for all the students like science labs, computer labs. Barasat college have all the equipments for that a student need.college have a library which have end number of books.All the things are well maintained.The whole college ambience and canteenf ood is fully hygienic.
