Chameli Devi Institute of Professional Studies, Indore Admission

Chameli Devi Institute of Professional Studies (CDIPS) is a well-known institute that conducts undergraduate and postgraduate courses in several disciplines. The institute follows an open admission policy. It has an inclusive process for the selection process so that it may choose the best candidates to get enrolled for its courses. All India Council for Technical Education has approved its programs and meets the national standards. The institute is coeducational in nature, where both males and females are accommodated and taught together. The process of admission at CDIPS begins typically during the months preceding the commencement of an academic year. 

Dates, however, may differ in each case; hence, the applicants are requested to prepare their applications well in advance. Courses offered at the institute include engineering, computer applications, management, and commerce. Each has its eligibility criteria and procedure for admission. In other words, candidates must have usually passed the 10+2 level for B.Tech in Computer Science and Engineering and B.Tech in Computer Science and Information Technology with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as compulsory subjects. 

Application Process

1. Course Selection: First, the students need to select the course they want to pursue, as the institute offers a wide range of programs.

2. Application Form: The candidate has to download and fill up the application form. This can be downloaded from the official website of the institute or can be collected from the campus.

3. Documents with the application: The candidate also has to furnish all documents relevant to the required form. In general, those are:

  • Mark sheet and certificate for 10th and 12th standard.
  • Entrance exam scorecard if applied through entrance
  • Character Certificate
  • Transfer Certificate
  • Migration Certificate If the student wishes to shift schools/colleges.
  • Passport size Photographs
  • Any other documents as required by the institute for specific courses

4. Application Fee: Pay the amount of application fee. The fees may vary based on the course and can be paid online or through other mediums as specified by the institute.

5. Entrance Exam/Interview: Following the course curriculum, candidates could be called in for an entrance exam or an interview. In some cases, even group discussion is included while shortlisting management courses.

6. Merit List: In conclusion, students are short-listed on their academic performance with the scores gained in the entrance exam and his performance in interview, if a student has faced it.

7. Counselling and Seat Allotment: The candidates shortlisted will be called for counselling, wherein they can opt for the preferred course, in case of applying for more than one program, based on rank and seat availability.

8. Fee Payment: After the allotment of seat, the candidates have to pay the required fees within the specified time frame for confirmation of admission.

9. Original documents verification. Verification of original documents should be done at the time of admission. All required documents should be prepared well in time to avoid any last minute confusion.

Degree Wise Admission Process

B.Tech: CDIPS is offering B Tech programs in computer science and engineering as well as computer science and information technology with an approved strength of 180 students in every program. For the above programmes, admission likely based on a student's score in entrance examination to engineering institutes and 10+2 performance in PCM stream.

MCA: CDIPS accepts 180 students under Master of Computer Applications. Eligibility is largely a bachelor's degree in any discipline, whereas the admission procedure varies according to the institute.

MBA: CDIPS offers an MBA program with an approved intake of 180 students. There is also an MBA in Financial Administration with 120 seats. Admission to these programs may be based on CAT/MAT scores, followed by a group discussion and personal interview.

B.Sc Computer Science: This undergraduate program has an approved intake of 60 students. Admission is likely to be based on 10+2 scores in science subjects, particularly mathematics and computer science.

BCA: The Bachelor of Computer Applications program has 60 seats. Admission criteria typically include performance in 10+2 examinations, with a focus on mathematics and computer science subjects.

B.Com: CDIPS offers various B.Com programs including Computer Application (120 seats), Tax Procedures and Practice (60 seats), Honours (60 seats), and Advertising, Sales Promotion and Sales Management (60 seats). Admission is generally based on 10+2 scores, particularly in commerce subjects.

BBA: Institute offers BBA Plain (60 seats) and BBA Foreign Trade (180 seats). Admission may be done based on scores of 10+2 and may also involve an entrance test or interview.
