Chhattisgarh Dental College and Research Institute was established in the year 2002 in Rajnandgaon, Chhattisgarh, as one of the highly known dental education institutions in this sub-continent. CDCRI has several facilities to improve the students' learning experience:=. These include Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, Oral Medicine and Radiology, Conservative Dentistry and Endodontics, Orthodontics, Periodontics, Prosthodontics, Paedodontics, and Oral Pathology. All programmes are complete time wherein the BDS course runs for 5 years and MDS courses for 3 years.

This programme has a duration of 5 years, which should include a rotatory internship of one year. Candidates must have passed their 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology as compulsory subjects and English as a core subject.
CDCRI offers various specialisations in its Master of Dental Surgery (MDS), with courses lasting 3 years each. The MDS programmes offered are in Oral Medicine and Radiology, Conservative Dentistry & Endodontics, Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopaedics, Periodontology, Prosthodontics and Crown and Bridge, Pediatric and Preventive Dentistry, Oral Pathology, and Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. Each specialisation has an intake of 2-3 seats. Admission to the programme will be based on the NEET-MDS score of the candidate.
