About Dhanvanthari Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Kothagudem

Dhanvanthari Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences was established in the year 2007 in Sujathanagar, Bhadradri Kothagudem district, Telangana, This affiliated college offers the educational training in the field of pharmacy and approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi and the Pharmacy Council of India, New Delhi. DIPS has a total enrolment capacity of 231 students and faculties 36, which are sufficient for a pharmaceutical institution to have focused learning skills. These include undergraduate and postgraduate programmes based on different specialties of the pharmaceutical sciences offered in the institute.

DIPS has a set of new facilities to compliment its academic commitment. The institute has an audio visual enabled, air-conditioned seminar hall with a seating capacity of 250 people. To support the practical training, DIPS offers advanced laboratories in which the students are trained adequately. Another IT facility that the college has is a computerised laboratory outfitted with LAN and individual, personal headphones for every station. An up to date library is essential for any academic institution as a source of learning and research.

The pharmaceutical courses provided in the institute caters to the need of different students interest in the course. DIPS provides four courses: a Bachelor of Pharmacy has been awarded and named as B.Pharma and there are three types of Master of Pharmacy named M.Pharma. Such specialised courses are as a result intended to bring out skilled professionals equipped to handle the active nature of the pharmaceutical business.

The admission system of Dhanvanthari Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences in relation to its pharmacy programmes is meant to enrol students with the capacity and enthusiasm. To enrol the students in B.Pharma programme, the TS EAMCET is the state level entrance test which is considered by the DIPS for enrolment. This exam tests candidates on relevant subjects and also assists in the proper and equitable distribution of seats. In the case of admission to postgraduate courses, the institute accepts the results of the Graduate Pharmacy Aptitude Test (GPAT), which is a national level entrance examination for the Pharmacy graduates for admissions to M.Pharma.

Dhanvanthari Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences doth offer quality pharmacy education at its campuses located at Sujathanagar in Bhadra Kothagudem district in Telangana and is recognized by the A.I.C.T.E. (All India Council of Technical Education).

The admission process to DIPS evaluates students and chooses the ones with abilities and determination in their pursuit of pharmacy. For undergraduate programs, DIPS admits students based on the TS EAMCET (Telangana State Engineering Agriculture and Medical Common Entrance Test). For postgraduate programs, admissibility is determined by the test scores of GPAT (Graduate Pharmacy Aptitude Test), which is a national level entrance test for pharmacy graduates.

The academic session at DIPS starts mostly around August-September with admission processes commencing a few months before. Henceforth, citizens in waiting should always keep their eyes glued on official communication channels regarding the application deadlines, entrance examinations, and results.

Application Process

For the Barman Program:

  • Register for and appear in TS EAMCET.

  • Counseling will be between qualified candidates after the TS EAMCET results are out on the TS EAMCET portal.

  • Choose DIPS as one of your preferred institutions for counseling.

  • Those seated shall report to DIPS for document verification and admission.

For Master Programs:

  • Appear in GPAT Examination.

  • Once GPAT results are released, apply directly to DIPS or through centralized admission processes if any.

  • Documents submitted will include the GPAT scorecard, B.Pharma degree certificate, and mark sheets.

  • Participate in counseling and interview rounds if any should be conducted.

  • Upon selection, complete all admission formalities by paying fees and submitting original documents.

Degree wise Admission Process

B.Pharma:
Admitted by TS EAMCET scores. Basic eligibility requires 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics/Biology. Seat cut-off changes yearly.

M.Pharma:
With three specializations provided, each with 15 seats:

  • Pharmaceutical Analysis and Quality Assurance

  • Pharmaceutical Management and Regulatory Affairs

  • Pharmaceutics

GPAT scores-based admissions; eligibility includes a recognized B. Pharm degree. GPAT scores alone will not guarantee admission since some relative weighing of academic performance may also be considered.

Documents required are usually:

  • TS EAMCET/GPAT score card (as applicable)

  • 10th and 12th standards mark sheets and certificates

  • B.Pharma degree certificate and mark sheets in case of M.Pharm.

  • Transfer certificate from the previous institution

  • Migration certificate (if applicable)

  • Caste certificate (if applicable)

  • Recent passport-size photographs

  • Any other document prescribed by the Institute
