GGDSD Chandigarh Reviews on Infrastructure, Campus, Placement, Facilities & Faculty

The classrooms are all equipped with blackboards and fans in working conditions. There is no provision of the smart classes in normal days. There is a provision of a library with two floors and it is opened till 4 pm. The provision of wifi is only for teachers and not students. It is available to all in the IT Lab. For food the provision of a canteen is there which caters to the need of the students and it is good but alot can be done to improve it.

I'm currently studying BA ECONOMICS HONS. I'm studying this subject because i was always interested in this subject. The level of the academics is just average in these colleges affiliated when compared to the main university. One studying in the university will do a major in the main subject and will have only one elective subject with it. Whereas one studying in the college will have to study 3 elective subjects. This is only in case of BA program. The college is no doubt good for BCOM and BBA

The college has a placement cell but there are opportunities for placements mainly for Commerce students (BBA and BCOM). The college doesn't provide any placements for BA students or even if there are, its least (hardly one in a 50) The salary package goes upto 6-7 lakhs per annum or even more in exceptional cases.

The course costs around 25000-30000/- per annum. It is okay because a lot even depends upon a student of how much he/she explores and exploits the resources given to him and uses them in a productive manner.

The college is overall good. The strength is around 8000. The crowd is also good. There is a blend of both the very intellegent and an average student. The extra curricular activities happening are no doubt really good. We have various clubs like the Theatre society, Literary society, photography club and our students are also a part of the National Cadet Corps (NCC) and National Service Scheme (NSS)

The college is no doubt good for Commerce students who want to take admission into BBA and BCOM program but it is not much recommend for BA HONS program. And if one really wants to get into it then the main PANJAB UNIVERSITY is highyl recommend.

The infrastructure is not good as compared to the other colleges the buildings are very small , my school buildings were more big than this college buildings also the B.A block is very worst, washrooms are not well maintained very dirty especially for girls and the hostles are also not good not proper facilities are there and the timing doesn't suit the girls.

The faculty is good some teachers are very educated and good and they share their experience with the students and help their students when they stuck somewhere. But if you talk about the jobs there is no proper jobs for the B.A. students.

There is no proper placement in this college, placement are only limited to the Commerce students companies come yo recruit only the b.com students and b.a students suffer the most no placements for b.a students. At first in the college brochure is was written a lot of placements but when we entered into the college one found it worst in placements and i will not suggest anyone this college.

Course cost is 26000-30000 And i found it worth as i am pursuing b.a hons from this College i think my money is getting worth only if i see my course but in placements i feel it isn't worth i feel my money has been wasted As i have mentioned earlier the placement topic

The overall campus is good crowd is good and helpful there is no ragging as we see in other colleges and the jouniers and seniors are also helpful and good but if we talk about the infrastructure so it is average no proper developed buildings also b.a block is very worst

Our college have smart boards and well maintained library , laboratory and class rooms. Classrooms are well ventilated and have a good sitting plan. This college have 3-4 ground which provide the refreshing aura. The major drawback of the college is small sitting area in canteen.

This college is really good from The Academic view point. They provide the best education and guidance to the students. The teachers are very Cooperative and helpful they always motivate the students to do the best in the life.

Placement cell is average because the placement for the BA and BSC is not good at all but really good the bcom amd bba department . Overall our college provide the average placement package which goes around 5-7 lakh per annum for the bba and bcom department.

THe college provide the good ROI.

The campus life is really good as the location is really convinient and safe. College have the really good crowd. College organise many trips for the students which are very affordable in price and is the worth for the money

My experience at college has given me a chance to sharpen my skills in my field of choice. The infrastructure at my college is not well furnished. The benches of Arts block are in pitiable condition which according to me is a disgrace to college.

I am pursuing my interest in Economics Hons. Teachers make all the necessary efforts in order to encourage students to specialise in their respective field. Studying here gives me wonderful experience which has enhanced my personality traits.

The Placement Cell at my college works hard in order to get the students placed in the Esteem Companies, which is the decent characteristic of my college. Many students get placed every year in the reputed companies.

The cost of my course per year ranges from 26000-30000.The quality of education is good for this amount. The qualification of faculty is very good and they provide authentic knowledge to explore in our respective fields.

I would rate the college campus average. There is no proper provision of sitting in the canteen. The faculty of my college is very good. The teachers encourage us alot to be enthusiastic. The campus is safe for girls. As it is near to the market area so it can handle the emergencies.

GGDSD has all the necessary labs as well as infrastructure and moreover the infrastructure is also being renewed and we also have many college clubs, which are active for example: Theatre Club, dance club and many more.

I am studying Bachelor of Arts, the teachers are well educated and have huge knowledge of their fields, if we talk about the curriculum it's up to date and the college is affiliated with Panjab University, Chandigarh and moreover the college is now commencing MBA/PGDM Course.

If we talk about placements many company visit college even in my session ICICI Bank, Aditya Birla Sunlife Insurance, etc also visited the college who placed to near about 5 lakhs per annum and still more companies are expected to come.

According to me, the college provides the value for money and also the college offers scholarship to the sports students and moreover there are many activities that are always going on in the college like the plays, etc.

Life in college actually depends on you if you try to get indulge in activities and join clubs then it is very interesting else not and if you want it to be interesting then you need to make few friends and you will never regret.

College overall is ok, the only problem is the hostel food which is not good at all and the thing if they organise any function like Independence Day they compulsory take all the girl hostel students to attend and the rigid timings of the girls hostel.
