Government Aizawl College offers various 9 courses and 2 degree programmes in the field of Hindi, English, Education, Economics, History, Mizo, Political Science, Sociology and commerce.
Aizawl College is aware of the need of offering students the best environment for learning, and provides them with the following amenities among others. The facility for this purpose is the library on the second storey, which stocks course books, reference, journals and periodicals. IT wise, all the students especially the college’s tech-savvy students benefit from the wonderful it support maintained by the college. It also contains a canteen on the ground floor to sit for about 60 students where they can have a little talk with each other. Safety and Health care are of great importance the school has an ‘in-house’ first aid facility on the 5th floor for all the students and the staff are free of charge. Although the current gym facility at CIAC is limited, the College intends to build a new and much larger gym at the new Mualpui campus.
Over all Government Aizawl College offers 9 courses, all are full time. The college offers a wide faculty specialisation in the Arts and Commerce streams which includes BA specialisations in History, Economics, English and B.Com etc. to suit all the interests of students.
Admissions to Government Aizawl College is largely through the Common University Entrance Test also known as CUET-UG. This test is one of the instruments used on the national level in the selection of participants to undergraduate programmes. Being GAC student
College Infrastructure
The college infrastructure is moderate. We have a basketball court, Table Tennis board, certain indoor equipment and the process for constructing other sports is ongoing. Classes are attached with Smart Boards, we have a big libraries (probably one of the best in Mizoram) and different hostels for both boys and girls where Wi-Fi is available.

College infrastructure is moderate. We have basketball court, football field and tt board. We have a huge libraries and separate hostel for both boys and girls, and apart from the main college hostel, we do have numerous hostel that are linked with college and provide adequate resources
