The present study focuses on the Government College for Women, Nawakadal (GCWN) which is one of the premier institution situated at Srinagar in the state of Jammu and Kashmir. This affiliated college was set up in 1961 which means this institution has been training generations for more than six decades. Depending on its relatively small area of 2.25 acres, GCWN provides 37 courses. Student enrolment of the college is 1,748 and the college has a total number of 40 faculty members. Main women's college in Nawakadal was established in the year of 1961 to impart education of the woman's of that area.the college was started with only 50 students the number of students has gone up to 1700.
