Sangareddy Women’s Government Degree College, approved in 1981, is striving to impart high standard education for women in the region of Telangana. This affiliated college is set up in the premises of Sangareddy, on the banks of the River Krishna, across from Ambedkar Stadium and has been instrumentally in shaping young minds for more than 40 years. It is believe to be one of the premier institution of the country, it has a campus of 9 acres the institution is NAAC accredited stressing on quality education. Currently, this college has 473 students and 10 members of the faculty and undergraduate programmes that prepare students for personal and academic success.

Sangareddy Women’s Government Degree College has State of the art facilities aimed at improving the learning environment and general personality of students. A well stocked library for books acts as a centre for information, knowledge and it provides all text books as well reference books for students. The college is proud of departments having subject based laboratories where practical knowledge can be imparted in all fields. The Government Degree College for Women, Sangareddy, has six courses, all of which are the under graduation courses, and all the courses are of full time duration. The courses being offered includes B.A, B.Com in Computer Applications, B.Sc in Life Science, and B.Sc in Botany, Zoology. Besides, every college offers B.A. programmes in Telugu and Urdu medium for the linguistic medium.
