Government Women’s Polytechnic College Bhopal was established in 1964 to cater the need of woman education in technical field. It is affiliated college present in Shivaji Nagar, Bhopal having area of 4 acre land. Affiliated to the All India Council for Technical Education ( AICTE), New Delhi the institute provides 5 diploma under 1 degree. This college has an overall capacity of 395 students and faculty of 30 so student-educator ratio is good. Different fields promoted at the institute are Architecture, Computer Science, Electronics, Fashion Technology and Modern Office Management as per the requirements of young women who seek technical education.
The college has many amenities that were developed to improve the learning environment of the students. The library of the institution is well stocked with more than thirty thousand books, general books amounting to twenty three thousand one hundred and seven, books for SC/ST students only are seven thousand five hundred and thirty seven only. Girls hostel has 48 students in 16 triple- bunkered beds with facilities such as dining, recreation and computer with internet access.
