Gurram Bala Narsaiah Institute of Pharmacy (GBNIP or GBNIP College) is an affiliated institute, started in 2007 in Ranga Reddy District of Telangana. To meet the demand of specialisation in the field of pharmacy, GBNIP provides various pharmacy courses. At present, the institute offers eight courses which cut across the undergraduate and postgraduate levels. For instance, at the undergraduate level, a student is offered a 4-year programme, B.Pharma and a 6-year programme, Pharm D. At postgraduate level, GBNIP provides the following M.Pharma specialisations that take two years. Such as M.Pharma in Pharmaceutical Analysis and Quality Assurance, Pharmaceutical Management and Regulatory Affairs, Pharmaceutics, and Pharmacology. The number of total approved intakes for these courses are different where Pharma gets the highest number of intakes at 100, Pharm.D. gets the intakes of 30, and most of the Pharma specialisations get 15 intakes each.
Regarding the admission policy, the Gurram Bala Narsaiah Institute of Pharmacy maintains a proper procedure also that is absolutely free from unfair practice. For the undergraduate programme such as B.Pharma, admissions decisions are mostly given by TS EAMCET (Telangana State Engineering Agriculture and Medical Common Entrance Test). This exam acts as a basis for entry for aspiring pharmacy students in the state. These admissions are done together with the university PG Admissions Director for postgraduate programmes. Students seeking admission for M.Pharma courses get admitted based on their GPAT ranks and fresh students are also admitted by considering the general and SC/ST students. This helps in making sure that the students from economically weaker backgrounds secure chances to attend college education in pharmacy.
