The Indian Maritime University (IMU) is a central university established by an act of parliament, namely the Indian Maritime University Act 2008, on November 14, 2008. IMU is the first central university in India to be dedicated to the maritime field and related activities. The headquarters of IMU is located in Chennai, and its campuses are spread across the country. Indian Maritime University (IMU) is a central university in India that offers various undergraduate and postgraduate programs in the field of maritime studies. Admission to IMU is highly competitive and requires candidates to meet certain eligibility criteria and go through a selection process. The university will also offer research programmes such as the Ph.d. program and MS by research. Admission to UG, MBA, and M.Tech will be held through IMU CET, and for BBA through IMU BBA. IMU Mumbai Application Procedure
- The candidates must first register themselves online on the IMU website.
- After successful registration, the candidates are required to fill an application form.
- Candidates have to submit all the requisite documents.
- Once the application form is submitted, the candidates must appear for a written examination.
IMU UG Admission 2024
Indian Maritime University provides admission to various UG courses such as BBA, B.Tech., and B.Sc. in different fields. The admission to UG programmes will be based on the IMU CET scores.

IMU UG Admission Procedure 2024
Visit the official website and check the admission requirements for the IMU program.
Fill out the application form and submit it along with all necessary documents, such as educational transcripts, exam results, and other required documents.
Pay the application fee to complete the process.
Candidates should attend the IMU CET exam to get admission into the IMU program.
Candidates should attend the personal interview as specified by the IMU Mumbai Port for admission.

Indian Maritime University will provide two PG courses in different fields, such as MBA and M.Tech. The duration of the programme is two years.

IMU PG Admission Procedure 2024
Application: Candidates should begin the admission process by filling out the application form available on the IMU, Mumbai Port, official website.
Document Submission: Submit the required documents, such as marksheets, certificates and others along with the application form.
Entrance Test: Candidates must appear for the IMU CET conducted by the Mumbai Port Trust to be eligible for admission.
Interview: After the entrance test, selected candidates will be called for an interview.
Selection: Candidates will be selected based on their performance in the entrance test and interview and pay the admission fee.
Admission: Selected candidates must then complete the admission process by paying the admission fees and submitting the required documents.

College Infrastructure
1. Infrastructure is not that bad. College has good classrooms with white board, projector facility and free WiFi in whole campus along with hostel rooms. 2. Water and Electricity facility is also good 24×7. 3. Hostel rooms are ventilated with attached bathroom and kitchen, cleaned properly. 4. Library, large auditorium well air conditioned. 5. Gymnasium available for both girls and boys
Experience is different from other colleges.

Hello,
Mostly colleges takes JEE main for engineering admission and cutoff for lateral entry is different than 12th pass out students admission. Some colleges conducts a different exam for lateral entry candidates.
College of engineering:- it accepts KEAM for admission. For previous year cutoff you can visit the link:- https://dqxeclau.top/colleges/college-of-engineering-trivandrum/cut-off
There is no separate exam to be taken. You will get selected as per your score in KEAM exam.
Indian Maritime University:- It has not given the cutoff. It accepts IMU-CET for admission. It provides Btech in marine engineering.

Hello,
Indian Maritime University will release the application form registration window from 1st week of april in online mode. The last date will be around 2nd week of may.
For OBC and General the fees for application form is Rs.1000. and for ST/SC is 700. Candidates have to pay online.
the eligibility criteria for the exam is;-
Candidates must have passed 10 and 12 from a recognized board and must have Physics,Chemistry,Mathematics and English as major subjects. For general the percentage bar is 60% aggregate and minimum 50% in english. For SC/ST , there is 5% relaxation in aggrregate percentage but not in english subject.
