Hello Deepika!

I hope you are doing great in your life!

I would like to inform you that Electronic and communication engineering and Computer Organization and Architecture both are quite similar like In COE you have to study about hardware. If you have an interest in computers, then you should choose COE. The same goes for ECE. If you go by placements, the average package of the students of the 2019 - 20 batch of ECE was 7.79 LPA compared to 7.82 LPA of COE as of August. So the placement of ENC is pretty decent. Most of the companies arriving in Thapar are open to all branches related to computers (COE, COPC, COBS, ENC). There are a few branch-specific companies/organizations as well, like ISRO which allows only the students of ECE. ECE is all about electronics and how the different electrical components (Microprocessor, RAM etc) communicate with each other. It has more Physics in it. There is a little programming involved but not much whereas COE deals with telling these components what to do and when to do it; by programming them.

So as per your field of interest you can choose any one because both are good. And keep studying keep growing.

All the best for your future!

Thanks.
