If your seat is confirmed in first round but if you get a seat in better college in second round then you can opt for that seat and can cancel the seat you got in first round. But, if you got a seat in the good branch of IHM in the first round and you do not wish to leave it then advise is not to attend the second round of counselling and continue in the college you already got.

• Talking about placements, the average package offered in IHM Bangalore is 3 lacs per annum and the top recruiters are Samsung, Hyatt and Reliance. The average package offered in IHM Mumbai is 2 lacs and the highest package offered is 6.5 lacs per annum. Five star hotels like Taj, JW Marriott amd Hyatt recruit students.
• The fees at IHM Mumbai is 60,000 and that at IHM Bangalore is 2.5 lacs and at IHM Mumbai is 2.9 lacs.

Every year cut off varies with alot of factors. It varies with the number of students giving the exam, the number of students attending the counselling and everything.

Last year cut off went till the rank of around 4040. This is the cut off rank for the last round of counselling. So based on this if you see, you will be able to get by the end of last round in chennai.

So, yes, you have pretty higher chances to get the seat in IHM in chennai.
