Hey Nithesha! I have never before heard of any coaching provided for the IHM entrance exam. And recently I had a conversation with a neighbour who is preparing for the same exam. NCHMCT (National Council for Hotel Management and Catering Technology), an autonomous body under Ministry of Tourism, Government of India conducts the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE), which is commonly known as NCHMCT JEE and NCHM JEE. The exam is required for admission to its B.Sc in Hospitality & Hotel Administration programme, which is offered jointly with IGNOU.

B.Sc. degree offered by IHM Pusa is a three years’ programme. The approximate fee for the entire course is nearly Rs.2,60,000. 

The placement record of IHM Pusa is quite good. Companies like ITC, Samsung and Reliance visit the campus frequently. The companies coming to the college are divided into three tiers-

1. Select group of top hotel chains like the Taj, Oberois, ITC, Hyatt, Hilton, IHG

2. Other hotel chains like Lemon tree, Accor, Novotel

3. Retail brands like Dunkin’ Donuts, Starbucks, Cafe Coffee Day

There are various categories or various levels under which the students are placed namely O.T. (Operational Trainee), M.T. (Management Trainee) and C.T. (Corporate Trainee). The average salary for a fresher ranges between 15K and 20K.
