Institute of Land and Disaster Management, Thiruvananthapuram Admission

The Institute of Land and Disaster Management, Thiruvananthapuram is one of the specialist institutions offering postgraduate programs in land governance, disaster management, water and river management. Admission procedure is also stringent as the selection process will find candidates possessing sound aptitude and potential for the critical tasks involved in the two fields.

There is just one intake cycle for ILDM, which generally falls under an academic year, whereas applications usually open in the first quarter of the calendar year. Multiple entrance exams of national level are accepted, like the Common Management Admission Test, Common Admission Test, and Karnataka Management Aptitude Test. These tests are held between the months of November and February, and the results come out in subsequent months.

ILDM's MBA eligibility criteria require a bachelor's degree from a recognized university. Degree wise Admission Process

MBA Land Governance This is a special program at ILDM, and it focuses on land management and governance issues. The admission process has three important steps: KMAT, CMAT, or CAT scores followed by a group discussion and then a personal interview. The program has an intake of 30 students, approved, so there is a more focused and interactive learning environment.

MBA in Disaster Management: Since the world urgently needs disaster management professionals, admission into this programme is also akin to the same process of admitting candidates to the MBA in Land Governance. However, this candidate selection process comprises assessment through their KMAT or CMAT scores and then undergoes a group discussion and interview process. Its intake capacity has been kept to 30.

MBA Water and River Management: This unique program addresses serious concerns over water resource management. Admission is similar to other MBA programs offered at ILDM, which means applicants are evaluated based on their performance through entrance examination scores that lead to admittance by KMAT, CMAT, or CAT, group discussion, and personal interview. The intake approved under this is the same as other programs; 30 students.
