Degree wise Admission Process
B.A. (Bachelor of Arts): Selections for the different B.A. programs with honors are offered in the subjects of Bengali, English, History, Education, Economics, Political Science, Philosophy, and Hindi. The number of available seats for the B.A. programs is 150 and gradually increases based on the honors courses. Merit is required for admission based on the marks obtained in the qualifying examination.
B.Com. - Bachelor of Commerce: B.Com. programs are offered by Jogesh Chandra Chowdhury College in general streams and also in honors mode in Accounting and Finance. The B.Com. general program offers 150 seats. Further, the B.Com. Accounting and Finance Honors program has 135 seats. Admission is on merit, based on the performance of the student in the 10+2 examination and commerce subjects.
B.Sc. (Bachelor of Science): The college administers B.Sc. programs with an honors option in Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Electronics, Economics, and Geography. B.Sc programs have 90 seats, and additional seats will be available for honors courses. Admission to B.Sc programs is competitive and depends on the performance of the candidate in qualifying science subjects of their qualifying examination.
My college have all the necessary infrastructure, facilities and equipment like smart class, white boards and centralized ACs. The classes are spacious and large enough to fit a 100 of students. There are facilities we have in our classrooms, laboratories, libraries, sports centres and hostels (for eg. WiFi, smart boards)
The college has all necessary infrastructure, facilities and equipment needed by the students. The facilities in all departments are up to the mark and are latest. The campus is clean and offers hygienic food.
My college has all necessary infrastructure, facilities and equipment. The classrooms are well maintained, laboratories are neat and clean, libraries are very helpful. I don't know about the food but the living spaces are clean.
