Kakinada Institute of Engineering and Technology for Women (KIETW), is one of the prime educational institutions that is situated at Korangi, Andhra Pradesh. The college is committed towards imparting good quality education in Engineering and Technology to women candidates only. There are various UG and PG courses available for students in the institute, ranging from new subjects like Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, and Data Science.

The admission procedure in KIETW is holistic and merit-oriented. The institute admits students based on different state-level entrance exams, depending on the course. For undergraduate courses, admissions are mainly on the basis of the Andhra Pradesh Engineering Agriculture and Medical Common Entrance Test (AP EAMCET). For postgraduate courses, admissions are made through the Andhra Pradesh Post Graduate Engineering Common Entrance Test (AP PGECET). For diploma programs, the institute takes into consideration marks from the Andhra Pradesh Polytechnic Common Entrance Test (AP POLYCET).

Application Process

The application process for KIETW is different for different programs:

For B.Tech programs:

1. Qualify AP EAMCET examination.
2. Apply for the state-level counseling process.
3. Select KIETW and desired courses during counseling.
4. In case given a seat, appear at KIETW for document verification and admission process.

For M.Tech programs:

1. Clear AP PGECET test.
2. Appear through the state-level counseling process.
3. Choose KIETW and the desired M.Tech specialization at counseling.
4. If called for, proceed with the admission process at KIETW.

For Diploma programs:

1. Clear AP POLYCET test.
2. Attend state-level counseling for polytechnic admissions.
3. Select KIETW and the chosen diploma course.
4. If given a seat, finish the admission procedure at KIETW.

Degree wise Admission Process

B.Tech Courses: KIETW has three B.Tech courses with 180 seats in each course:

1. B.Tech in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning
2. B.Tech in Artificial Intelligence
3. B.Tech in Artificial Intelligence and Data Science

Admission to these courses is done on the basis of AP EAMCET scores. The candidates should have passed 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as compulsory subjects.

M.Tech Courses: The institute has five M.Tech courses with 30 seats in each course:

1. M.Tech in Computer Science and Engineering
2. M.Tech in Artificial Intelligence and Data Science
3. M.Tech in Artificial Intelligence
4. M.Tech in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning
5. M.Tech in Data Science

M.Tech admissions are made through AP PGECET. Candidates should have a relevant bachelor's degree in technology or engineering.

Diploma Courses: Two diploma courses are offered by KIETW:

1. Diploma in Computer Science and Engineering (180 seats)
2. Diploma in 3D Animation and Graphics (180 seats)

Admissions to diploma courses are on the basis of AP POLYCET scores. The candidates who have passed 10th standard are eligible to apply.
