Kanachur Institute of Medical Sciences (KIMS), Natekal, and is affiliated to Mangalore University and recognized by the National Medical Commission (NMC). The admission process at KIMS is very competitive, and, hence, it adheres to the guidelines of the Government of India. For undergraduate studies, it is based on the scores in the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET-UG). For postgraduate studies, the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test for Post Graduate (NEET-PG) examination is conducted.

The application process for Kanachur Institute of Medical Sciences varies with the program:

For MBBS:

For MD/MS programs:

The method of selection mainly comes from a student's performance in any one of the above-mentioned entrance tests such as NEET-UG for getting admissions into MBBS and NEET-PG to get admission to MD/MS.
