The Karpagam College of Pharmacy (KCP), established in 2006, is situated in Mayileripalayam, Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu. This is a co-educational institution that is recognised PCI-affiliated college Pharmacy Council of India (PCI). KCP is located on a campus of 6.82 acres and has 7 programmes at three different levels of study in the discipline of pharmacy. The college has a total of 510 students; among them, 70 per cent were male students and the remaining 30 per cent were female students. The faculty members which KCP comprises are 28 in number and could keep the student-faculty ratio in good shape.

In order to support the learning and development of the students’ skills at Karpagam College of Pharmacy, the centre offers confinement of several amenities. The college provides discipline and classy hostels for male and female students within the compound of the institution. To cater to the academic needs of KCP, the library facility has an area of approx. 162 sq. mt. and contains a collection of 2750 books and 36 national & 09 international journals. The institution has invested a lot in technology, evident by having fifty computers that have broadband connections for all departments in the organisation. Other facilities that may be useful to students include a gymnasium, trained coaches, indoor and outdoor games facilities and a canteen. Transport facilities are arranged in which students and staff members can travel in easily to reach the college located at Pollachi Main Road.

A total of 7 courses are presently being run by Karpagam College of Pharmacy at present, out of which some are undergraduate while others are postgraduate courses. The institute offers the full-time course in different specialisation areas of pharmacy. The B.Pharma programme holds the largest capacity of the college, with one hundred candidates admitted, whereas the M.Pharma in Pharmaceutics, Pharmacology, and Pharmaceutical Analysis has a capacity of fifteen students for each of the programmes.

The admission procedure of Karpagam College of Pharmacy is as per the regulations of the Tamil Nadu Dr M.G.R. Medical University, Chennai, and the Directorate of Medical Education, Chennai, Government of Tamil Nadu. This makes it easier to choose people that meet certain tests and standards and serves as a measure towards fairness of all persons for jobs.
