Late Vasantrao Naik College of Physical Education is one of the first colleges in Maharashtra that was established for physical education . The college has been training students with careers in physical education for more than three decades. Late Vasantrao Naik College of Physical Education has designed its admission process to select the most deserving candidates for its B.P.Ed and M.P.Ed programs.

The admission at the college follows the admission policies of the state government, UT administration, and affiliated university. Merit is the major criterion for admission based on the marks scored in the qualifying examination and/or entrance examination. In addition, the institute uses other selection processes as may be decided by the policy of the state government or UT administration.

Degree wise Admission Procedure

B.P.Ed: The Late Vasantrao Naik College of Physical Education offers a B.P.Ed course with an intake capacity of 100 students. Admission is strictly on merit, based on marks obtained in the qualifying examination and/or entrance examination. The course is for 3 years, which will prepare students for careers in physical education and sports coaching.

M.P.Ed. The Master of Physical Education offers 30 seats in the 2-year program, similar to that of B.P.Ed. Admissions are also made on merit based on marks obtained in qualifying examination and/or entrance examination for this advanced degree for those aiming for higher positions in physical education, sports management, or in research.
