Degree wise Admission Process
B.Sc Nursing: The Maharishi Dayanand Institute of Nursing admits 50 students for its B.Sc Nursing programme. The applicant would have to undergo the screening according to the marks secured in the qualifying examination, namely 10+2 with PCB and any entrance exam is as mentioned by the state nursing council or even the institute under which this particular seat is given.
Post Basic B.Sc Nursing This is a two-year program approved for an intake of 20 students. This program is especially designed for the registered nurses after completing their GNM course in General Nursing and Midwifery. Candidates are admitted depending on their earlier academic record and the work experience as a nurse in the field.
ANM: The institution has approved intakes of 40 students for the course ANM. The course is at the certificate level of training, usually of 2 years, that is on basic nursing and midwifery. A candidate must pass the 10+2 exam from a recognized board; having science subjects is preferable.
GNM (General Nursing and Midwifery): The institute has an approved intake of 40 students in the GNM program. This three-year diploma course prepares students for general nursing practice. Admission is usually based on the candidate's 10+2 results, with preference given to science stream students.
MPHW (Multi-Purpose Health Worker): The institute also provides an MPHW course, but the sanctioned intake is not available.
