Established in the year 2015, Maynaguri Government Polytechnic is to be located in Jalpaiguri, West Bengal. On a 5-acre campus, this is a co-educational institute aimed at inculcating quality technical education among aspiring engineering students. The polytechnic, which was recognized by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), provides three full-time diploma programs with a total student strength of 337. The institute has a faculty strength of 18 members which, when taken together with the student population, helps to ensure more appropriate attention and care is always offered. This is to develop an environment that is conducive to learning and growing.
The facilities further make up the infrastructure for the institute, providing students another support system and aids that help with the student experience. The Library, a resource centre for the academic participants, holds 310 titles and 2014 volumes with a seating capacity for 80 readers at a time to provide the students a quiet environment to get bewitched in their research and study. For those who are interested in sports and physical activities, the campus offers badminton and volleyball courts. The college has a computer centre with internet facilities for students so they do not miss any kind of online facilities that a student can avail of; importantly, it is understood how the basic amenities seem to be gaining importance in modern days. Maynaguri Government Polytechnic offers the following focused range of full-time three-year diploma programs:. The institute at present offers three different specialized courses: Diploma in Survey Engineering, Diploma in Instrumentation and Control Engineering, and Diploma in Civil Engineering. Each of the intake of these programs is 60, constituting 180 totals seats in all these courses.
