About Mewar School of Engineering and Technology, Chittorgarh

Mewar School of Engineering and Technology (MSET), a constituent college of the university established in the year 2009, is located at Chittorgarh, Rajasthan. Located at Gangrar on National Highway No. 48, this institute has been carving out the future of young engineers for over ten years. MSET is recognised from the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE); this makes the education standards set. college has total 84 committed faculty members, reading Engineering courses that are tailored to meet student’s needs. 

All modern facilities have been established on the Mewar School of Engineering and Technology campus to encourage students to be successful in their studies. The college library plays an important role; it has a huge variety of books, including about 50,000 books. Video and audio CDs are available in the library, which may help students to improve their knowledge. The laboratories are rich, including physics and chemistry and engineering, electrical/electronics, mechanical, and computer science laboratories, whereby the engineering students get both practical and theoretical experience. To enhance students’ comfort and security, the college has separate air-cooled hostel facilities for boys and girls within the college premises equipped with facilities like laundry, common TV lounge, medical facility, etc. There are also sports facility on the campus involving cricket field, a volleyball field, and a basketball field, along with indoor games to ensure student’s physical prosperity.

Mewar SET has nine full-time B.Tech. programmes on offer, all of which are basic four-year undergraduate degrees. The following programmes are offered across multiple engineering disciplines to give the students several choices according to their preferences and goals.

Mewar University, Mewar School of Engineering and Technology (MSET), Chittorgarh, is imparting education in various undergraduate engineering programs. The admission process at MSET efficiently weeds out competent candidates in the area of B.Tech programs. The Common University Entrance Test (CUET UG), a national-level entrance examination regarding admission to undergraduate programs across India with this institute, commands applications from students. The forthcoming CUET UG examination for the current admission cycle is scheduled for May 15, 2025, to May 24,2025, in online mode for taking up prospective admission in MSET. 

The examination is conducted for a number of subjects, very much related to the engineering discipline, and based on the performance of the candidates in this examination, candidates' competency is observed. All India Councils for Technical Education (AICTE) have bestowed recognition upon the MSET, the AICTE acts in regard to the quality of education against which its program is accredited. The institute conducts nine full-time B.Tech programs, providing a plethora of options for students amongst engineering disciplines.

Application Process

The process of admission to Mewar School of Engineering and Technology is:

1. Register for CUET UG examination at the official CUET portal.

2. Fill out the CUET UG application form giving personal and academic details.

3. Pay the application fee for CUET UG.

4. Give the CUET UG examination on the given date. 

5. Apply to MSET after the results of CUET UG are announced qualifying candidates.

6. Go to the official site of Mewar University or MSET for filling out the college application form.

7. Upload all required documents:

  • 10th & 12th mark sheets
  • CUET UG scorecard
  • Passport-size photograph
  • Valid ID proof
  • Caste certificate (if applicable)

8. Pay the application fee for MSET.

9. Submit the application form with the duly filled application and requisition documents.

10. Wait for the merit list to be announced by the institute.

11. If shortlisted, follow the counseling procedure and document verification.

12. After verification, pay the admission fee to confirm your seat.

Degree wise Admission Process

B.Tech Programs: Mewar School of Engineering and Technology has nine B.Tech programs, each of which is for a period of four years. Selection for all B.Tech programs is done on basis of CUET UG score. The details for B.Tech programs and their intake capacities are given below:
