Nagarjuna College of Teacher Education is one such institution situated in Mahabubnagar, Telangana and runs dedicatedly for the would-be teachers. This affiliated college was set up in 2008 and it has been taking part in changing the society and education system for more than ten years. The college is located in a small piece of land measuring 1 acres and therefore the College provides a small scale environment for learning. As per the current enrolment there are 65 student and 9 faculty members that provide individual focus and educate the students in the field of teaching.

Nagarjuna College of Teacher Education have well equipped facilities aimed at improving the learning environment of the learners. In other words, the library plays a significant role of ensuring students, academics and other users acquire focal mediums for learning and research. With regard to the latest trends in college education, this college has a well developed IT complex, thus students can master the latest techniques of distance learning.

Nagarjuna College of Teacher Education at present has only one main course i.e. Diploma in Education (D.Ed). This is a post-secondary programme that is takes two years of full time study, and prepares students to be effective teachers in the context of primary schools.
