Naipunnya Institute of Management and Information Technology (NIMIT) was founded in 1998. It is one of the most esteemed affiliated colleges which is located in Thrissur, Kerala. NAAC accredited NIMIT is a leading institute of higher learning and has made its mark in terms of academic delivery. This institute occupies 7.5 acre area. It came to be a multi-disciplinary institute as it offers 14 courses in 9 degree programmes specialising in Computing Science, Management & Commerce streams. At present the total population of enrolment of this institute is 1,442 which makes NIMIT a lively academic institution.

Naipunnya Institute of Management and Information Technology  provides various facilities to enhance students' modern learning which  includes- a well-equipped library for students. The library contains more than 12,000 collections of books, 60 plus journals and magazines both national and international. These resources are designed to support students' academic growth, extracurricular activities, and computer learning for their growth .They also have sports facilities for the students who love to spend their time in physical activity . The college has Wi-Fi facilities for both students and staff members. In addition, The college offers separate boys' and girls' hostels, along with medical facilities. 

Naipunnya Institute of Management and Information Technology currently offers 14 courses in 9 degrees in the fields of Arts, Humanities and Sciences and Science , Hospitality and Tourism , Computer Application and IT and Management and Business Administration - BBA and B.Sc Information Technology , M.Com, B.Sc. Computer Science, BCA and B.Sc Hotel Management and Catering Science and many others. They all are full time courses. This commitment ensures that students have access to choose their academic programmes and their interests that will help to achieve their educational  goals.
