The minimum qualification for admission to the first year of the M.Tech course is a pass in the B.Tech. / B.E. conducted by any University or any other examination recognized as equivalent.

- Computer Science (CS): B.E / B. Tech in any branch of engineering with valid GATE score or eligibility at PGECET.
- Electrical Power Systems (EPS): B.E. / B.Tech in Electrical and Electronics Engineering with valid GATE score or eligibility at PGECET.
- Digital Electronics & Communication System (DECS): B.E./B.Tech in Electronics and Communication Engineering with a valid Gate score or eligibility at PGECET.
