The Post Graduate Institute of Veterinary and Animal Sciences, Akola is one of the well-known constituent of the institute brought into being in the year 1970., The technology institute, specifically in teaching veterinary and animal science, is located in Maharashtra in Akola. It provides post-graduate programs in such subjects as Genetics, Gynecology, Veterinary Medicine Ethics and Jurisprudence, and Veterinary Surgery and Radiology. Ph.D. courses are also available in Genetics, Gynaecology, and Poultry Production. The intake of students is different for different courses, like M.V.Sc. Gynecology, which offers as many as 110 seats.
