The promoter of Prathibha Group of Institutions, Mr. C.V.R. Sastry, has established Prathibha Degree college for women, Kukatpally in 2013 to empower the women education in Hyderabad, Telangana. This affiliated college s located in the heart of the city Kukatpally and has been in existence for a decade in this part of the country. This kali integrated institution has a total of 539 students enrolled and provides a wide choice of undergraduate programmes by three categories of degree. This is evident in offering of five full –time courses out of which the college mostly deals with Commerce, Science and Business Administration.

The institution also has equipped laboratories for Chemistry, Physics, Electronics, Microbiology and Biotechnology and Biochemistry Laboratory for the practical knowledge of students in science field. A Commerce lab is for the use of business students. It as some facilities such as the auditorium that is used in conducting events and seminars and other functions, it also has sports features that are used in creating the recreation areas and the canteen that supplies food necessities. Need to mention that the issue of health and safety is also considered with paramount importance and there is a first aid facility in campus.

In total Prathibha Degree College for Women has five under graduate programmes all of which are on the full time basis. The course offerings span across three main streams: Commerce, Science and Business Administration or abbreviated as CSBA. In the Commerce stream the college offers B.Com with Computers & Computer Applications. Science stream facilitates, B.Sc programmes in Mathematics, Chemistry, and Computer Science and Mathematics, Physics and Computer Science. For the tangible manifestation of this ethos in practice, the college has in recent past Smarty launched the Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) programme.

Admission process of students at Prathibha Degree College for Women is fairly centralised and follows the merit system as per the directions of the affiliating university and government of Karnataka state.
