Rajah Muthiah Dental College and Hospital was set up in 1980 and is a constituent college of Annamalai University in Annamalai Nagar, Tamil Nadu. This is a co-educational institution that is recognised by the Dental Council of India (DCI) and hence offers quality students in dentistry. Currently, the college provides 11 courses at three academic levels focused on different issues in the dental field. At present, the institute has a faculty of 49 young and committed professionals to give a strong foundation to the students in the field of dentistry.

The college also provides a number of MDS, which are mainly specialisations such as periodontology, orthodontics and dentofacial orthopaedics, oral and maxillofacial surgery, and others. Also, the institute offers diploma courses in dental hygienist and dental mechanics to meet the different needs in this line of dental careers.

In this context, the BDS programme has also been given admitting criteria mainly based on NEET scores. Candidates who seek admission must pass the NEET examination with the prescribed cutoff marks.
