Ran Vijay Smarak Mahavidyalaya (RVSM) is a dignified institution for higher learning in Bokaro Steel City, Jharkhand. The five-acre campus has delivered quality higher education for the last 40 years. The NAAC (National Assessment and Accreditation Council) has accredited RVSM, thereby providing an external endorsement to the quality of education provided. The admission process in RVSM aims at selecting worthy candidates for various undergraduate programs.

Generally, the eligibility criteria for admission in RVSM depend mostly from courses to courses. Students, in general, who have completed their 10+2 education from a recognized board are eligible to apply for undergraduate programs; special consideration may apply to subject-specific requirements for certain courses very much in the Science stream. 

Application Process

The application process for admission to Ran Vijay Smarak Mahavidyalaya proceeds as follows:

1. The official RVSM website shall be visited for online application.

2. The online application shall be filled in with the personal information and academic details.

3. The scanned copies of documents must be uploaded, generally including:

• 10th and 12th mark sheets
• Passport-sized photograph
• Signature
• Caste certificate if applicable
• Other certificates and documents as required by the college

4. Payment of the application fee is made in online mode as per prescribed payment instructions.

5. The completed application form is submitted and a print-out is obtained for future references.

6. Wait for the merit list to be published by the college or for any other process of selection (interview, entrance test etc., if applicable).

7. Join the college for document verification and confirmation of admission if selected, within the stipulated time.

Admission Process Degree wise

B.A. (Bachelor of Arts): RVSM offers BA programs in a number of honors specialization including Economics, Sociology, Political Science, Philosophy, History, Hindi, Geography, English, and Bengali. Admission to these programs mostly depends upon a candidate's performance in their 10+2 examinations in the relevant subjects. 

B.Sc (Bachelor of Science): The college offers B.Sc programs with honors in Psychology, Mathematics, Environmental Science, Botany, Chemistry, Physics, and Zoology. Admission depends upon performance in the 10+2 examinations relevant to the program.

B.Com (Bachelor of Commerce): RVSM offers general B.Com and B.Com (Hons) programs. Admission is based on the candidates' performance in their 10+2 exams in commerce and related fields.

BCA (Bachelor of Computer Applications): The BCA course prepares the candidate to mainly focus on computer science and computer applications. Admission may require some mathematics and computer science subjects at 10+2 level

BBA (Bachelor of Business Administration): BBA at RVSM set students up for management positions. Admission is based on merit in 10+2, students from a commerce background will have an upper hand.
