The Biotechnology Department of SIMS is affiliated to DAVV since 2007, running both M.Sc. and B.Sc. courses. To impart practical knowledge of latest trends in Biotechnology, regular industrial visits, training and projects are arranged. Students are also made aware of their responsibility towards society via Blood Donation Camps, Blood Grouping and Hemoglobin Estimation of Masses, activities like AIDS Awareness Campaign, Awareness Towards Causes of Cancer etc. The combination of subjects for B.Sc. Biotechnology is Biotechnology + Chemistry+ Computer Science.
