Sanjo college of pharmaceutical studies is at the beautiful town of Palakkad of Kerala state, India was founded in the year 2014, which is functioning as a pioneer in changing the future of the pharmacy education. The college has fantastic infrastructures that support several facets of the students’ learning processes. In the middle of many resources on campus, there is a library with over 1735 books, 16 numbers of hard copy journals, and over 2500 e-journals through Delnet. With an aim of enhancing student learning, students are allowed to borrow up to 3 books within a week. Synthetic chemist, formulation and quality control: the campus has well equipped laboratory for the training of students. A large eating place is also provided on the campus for those occasions, quite independently there is a canteen providing home like food and of course purified water is available with RO water purifiers. The college also has health officials and the center where first aid is given to the college students; there is also provision for sporting activities.
Sanjo College of Pharmaceutical Studies has complete programmes of study for pharmacy and aims to meet different educational levels. It currently offers four full time programmes which entails two undergraduate and two post graduate programmes. In pharmacy the colleges offers Bachelor of Pharmacy programme with an intake capacity of 60 seats along with Diploma in Pharmacy for 60 seats. For the further degree, the college offers six seats each in Masters of Pharmacy (M.Pharma) in Pharmaceutics and Practice. Degree Wise Admission Process
B. Pharma: Admissions to the 4-year Bachelor of Pharmacy program at Sanjo College of Pharmaceutical Studies is the basis of performance of candidates in the qualifying examination (10 +2). Admission is further made on the basis of any entrance examinations, if applicable. Students wishing to apply must have taken Physics, Chemistry, and Biology/Mathematics subjects at the 10+2 level.
D.Pharm: With 60 seats available, student admission to a two-year Diploma in Pharmacy program who have completed 10+2 with Science subjects only is based on merit attained by the candidate in a qualifying examination.
M.Pharm Pharmaceutics: Six seats are open for admission to be prospective pharmaceutical scientists. Basically, admission into M.Pharm Pharmaceutics is based on exposure to the entrance test and previous records made in the B.Pharm. This two-year course is directed toward preparing students with greater understanding on subjects that concern pharmaceutical formulation and drug delivery systems.
Six seats are also considered in M.Pharm Pharmacy Practice, where similar criteria for the B.Pharm degree apply with an entrance test or interview. This specialization focuses on clinical pharmacy and patient care.
